For U Otro Lado, I was invited to create a one-time narrative group performance, unrehearsed and guided by intuition and long-standing friendship. Each gesture and object—personal yet legible within a shared language—opened onto memory: a handwritten poem, bones from a shared meal, a mattress bearing the silhouette of a former lover, the shaving of skin. These actions traced the scarring passage of time, enhanced by shared presence and the lingering imprint of the pandemic—what I call small deaths: quiet transformations unfolding toward an uncertain future.
