Felipe Vasquez (born in Cali, Colombia) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Paris working across performance, photography, installation, sound, voice, poetry, dance, and food. His practice examines the relationship between humans and the natural world, spirituality, interspecies dynamics, the precarity of ecological conditions, and the social parameters of marginalization. He holds a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York, and an MFA from the Beaux-Arts de Paris, where he studied in the ateliers of Emmanuelle Huynh, Alvaro Urbano, Petrit Halilaj, and Angelica Mesiti. He is currently a permanent resident at POUSH, a major contemporary art incubator on the outskirts of Paris.
