Le 47 Résidence. Brosses, France

Upon arriving at the residency, an encounter with a snail at our feet required us to slow down, sharpening our awareness of the ground and the life it hosts. As humid nights filled the house with creeping creatures, our way of moving shifted toward observation, care, and attunement. In the rural landscape of Bourgogne, we explored how body and environment might coexist and transform one another. We created costumes inspired by the surroundings, then undertook a long hike from the residency to the hilltop fields at sunset. Along the way, we crossed neighbors, cattle, rivers and roads, as our garments gradually changed—absorbing weight, scent, texture, and color from what we encountered. Our journey was witnessed by those from near and far, culminating in a return in which the body arrived altered: laden, full, and spent.
