Bloodsalt s an intimate ceremony that seeks catharsis through immediacy and physical intensity. The work centers on the fusion of dehydrated pig’s blood with salt in crystallized and liquid form, the latter drawn from my own sweat through heat and exertion, creating a charged substance that heightens sensation to excess. Salt also marks the threshold of the space, containing the action, while my voice acts as catalyst, driving the body toward a trance-like state.
