Banquet is a four-hour durational performance structured around plant-based food and communal gathering. Conceived as a public experience, it honors natural resources and the bonds formed through feasting. The performers engage in choreographed movement and improvised chanting as time, collective energy, and the consumption of wine shape the evening’s progression. Each assumes a distinct role, defined by costumes and props that reflect individual practices while reinforcing the group dynamic. Moving through calm, chaos, and euphoria, we reveal the impulses that drive human social life on an uncurtained stage.
